The materials and build quality are excellent. Everything from the case to the add on lenses fits snugly and has a very premium feel. The retro bar and app pair together well; however, even though the app gives a lot of control over all the options you need, it can take time to get used to finding and tweaking everything. overall, the kit changes your smartphone photo-taking experience from snapping quick shots to slowing down, thinking about what you’re shooting and trying to capture more attention-getting compositions.

Very pleased with the quality: The only thing I’d recommend is that the telephoto and macro lenses have the ability to move in and out. (Not have a fixed aperture).

This case is amazing honestly. The quality is really really good. I haven’t ran into any major issues with it and I hope to get to try one of the lenses for it someday. However, the app still needs work at the time of writing this review as it has some kind of annoying bugs. Honestly would love to help the team squash these. But if you’re interested in this case, honestly go with this over the others in this space.

Picked this up to give my phone a fresh look for the holidays.
The build quality is solid, and it seriously looks just like a vintage camera's very premium texture. My only complaint is the shutter bar/camera grip I bought extra. The switch is a bit too sensitive and sometimes triggers by mistake; it's just not as responsive as I hoped.

Gorgeous experience and very mature product. It truly restores the classic aesthetic of old-school cameras. Together with the Fotorgear app, it's just unreal! By the way, the modular design is super handy. It's perfect for daily pocket carry if you take off the handle and retro bar to use it as a standard case.

Pairing this rig alongside my Sony A6700 is such a sweet combo for day trips. Once you pair it with the Fotorgear Cam App, the physical dials are so snappy for exposure and focus. My iPhone has officially turned into a dedicated shooting tool that just happens to make phone calls lol.

My long-awaited case finally arrived. I literally spent a whole week debating whether to buy it. Was it just a gimmick? All looks and no real substance? Annoying to carry around? Honestly, stop overthinking. it just looks too damn cool. So I bought it.

Installation is simple enough, though taking it off requires a bit of technique and patience. One thing to note: this thing has some serious weight to it and it's quite bulky. As a guy, I can handle it just fine (and my hands are on the smaller side for men, for your reference). But if you're a girl, you might want to think twice since your hands might feel cramped. Thankfully, it comes with two lanyards (one long, one short), which makes it way easier to carry around for street shooting.

Does it actually improve image quality? Honestly, not really. But the emotional value and the sheer vibe it gives you are unmatched. Right now, I only bought the base case without the extra lenses or filters; I'll gradually pick those up later.

Once you pair it with their official app (JiYing/Fotorgear Cam), you can use the physical buttons and dials on the case to shoot, pull focus, and swap filters. Sure, you could do all that on the raw phone screen, but it's nowhere near as cool as this setup.

Tested it out with a few quick snaps directly inside their app, threw on a nice border, and boom instant premium vibe.

The 3.5x telephoto lens is outstanding. It's true optical quality, not a cheap digital crop. The sharpness is impressive for distant shots, from geometric building lines to street close-ups and concert stages. Highly recommend!

Had some free time today and took the new 17 Pro Max kit out for a spin at Magnolia Park (Baiyulan). It��s amazing!

Compared to the previous 16 Pro Max setup, this one is lightyears ahead in terms of convenience. With the 16pm, snapping things on and off was honestly a bit of a hassle, but they've streamlined it so much now.

Another incredibly nice design upgrade is that they moved the flash to the opposite side on the 17pm case. This is a game-changer because now, even when I have a heavy external lens mounted, I can still use the built-in flash without it getting blocked. Highly impressed with the improvements!

The retro camera grip has built-in Bluetooth to trigger the shutter, and when you pair it with their camera app, you can use the physical dials to control exposure, zoom, tints, and focus directly. It’s insane. Plus, you can easily stack cold shoe lights, pro lenses, or filters.

Threw the neck strap on, and honestly, it looks and feels just like a legit mirrorless camera now. Best purchase this year!
