Finally something that actually makes phone zoom usable. Got this for music festivals and it delivered. The grip feels like a real camera, the lens is sharp, and the whole thing packs down small enough to fit in a crossbody bag. Setup takes about 30 seconds. No complaints.
Sharp output in ample lighting, tends to blur up in low light. I’m pleased with the results and customer service for a broken Bluetooth controller bracket.
Sent a query about a replacement part and I received a response within a few hours. That's what I call good customer service !
The wide and telephoto 17mm thread are very good but miss the ultra wide thread like Freewell case for an extra super wide with wide lens.
It's a wonderful lens. I've only used it for a couple of days, but I'm loving the photographs that I'm getting with it. I'm planning on buying other lens from here.
The materials and build quality are excellent. Everything from the case to the add on lenses fits snugly and has a very premium feel. The retro bar and app pair together well; however, even though the app gives a lot of control over all the options you need, it can take time to get used to finding and tweaking everything. overall, the kit changes your smartphone photo-taking experience from snapping quick shots to slowing down, thinking about what you’re shooting and trying to capture more attention-getting compositions.
The case is of super high quality. I was worried that this 3 piece case would immediated come apart whenever the phone gets dropped accidentally but it has a very smart locking system using ball locks on springs. I was also worried the grip would easily come off but the magnetic grip is also attached to the case via a sliding lock mechanism. I have the official PYG photography kit which has buttons to control the camera and a battery to power the phone but it is made out of super cheap plastic. It has cracks all over from being dropped a few times so I thought about buying a replacement for around $180 but I'm so glad I bought this retro case instead for uinder $100 shipped (on sale plus 10% welcome discount). I hope they make cases for current android flagships soon since they seem to offer cases for last year's (2025) android flagships. The only downside is that the push down lock to release the filters on the back sometimes doesn't push down all the way. I am currently unable to remove the lens filter. Other than that, this case is extremely well made with precision engineering and solid materials that do add some weight but make this phone super nice to hold. I can't stop touching my phone now. Very pleased with the quality: The only thing I’d recommend is that the telephoto and macro lenses have the ability to move in and out. (Not have a fixed aperture).
I have not tested the macro yet, but the telephoto is excellent. I mounted the lens on a Xiaomi 17 ultra and I have got several excellent pics during testing. It is a pity that Fotorgear app is not compatible but using the Xiaomi own estabilización is posible to obtain beautiful images even handheld.

A very nice lens and very useful, as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has an ultra wide lens of inferior quality I have been using this external lens over the main camera (23mm --> 14mm ). I am getting very good fotos and videos with high luminosity and detail.
The only problem is with the rubber cap on the attachment side that comes loose all the time. Some users may find this annoying.
As a fisheye this lens offers a width not possible with the phone cameras. It is not one I use too often but for the tests I have take some images both on exterior and interior. The ons in daylight have been very good, it's a reasonable amount of curvature that I can correct by software. In the interior ones, with low light, I have found that this lens luminosity seems to be a bit low for such width, showing some chromatic aberrations. All in all I am satisfied with it for my purposes.
Other issue is the rubber cap on the attachment end is not good, it comes off all the time. Again is not a problem for me as I am printing inserts for my sling bag for these lenses but other users users might find it annoying.
