Steady Lens Camera Terms of Use
These Terms outline the rights and obligations of both parties regarding software usage, captured content, fees, and liability when you use the Steady Lens Camera (international name: Steady Lens; hereinafter referred to as "the App") provided by Shenzhen Futu Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us").
Please read these Terms before use, paying particular attention to the sections regarding rights to captured content, data storage, functional limitations, fees, and liability. The processing of personal information is governed separately by the *Steady Lens Camera Privacy Policy*; acceptance of these Terms does not replace any legally required consent for personal information processing or authorization for system permissions. Minors should use the App under the guidance of a guardian; where guardian consent is legally required, such consent must be obtained in advance.
I. Service Content and Scope of Application
The App provides features such as photo and video capture, Super Steady V3 stabilization, lens selection, shooting parameter adjustment, media management, and compatibility with Bluetooth controller inputs. Specific available features, formats, resolutions, frame rates, and compatibility with lenses and accessories depend on the version installed and the actual capabilities of your device.
These Terms apply to your use of the App and do not automatically apply to hardware sold separately, such as lenses or controllers; transactions, warranties, and after-sales services for such hardware are governed by the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase and applicable laws. When obtaining the App via the App Store, the rules of the Apple platform also apply, and your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
II. Software Usage License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable platform rules, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the App for the purpose of using its features, except in cases of sharing or transfer expressly permitted by law or the platform. This license does not transfer intellectual property rights regarding the App’s software, icons, interface design, trademarks, or technology.
You may use the App for lawful personal or commercial filming; however, the license for the App does not include rights regarding the subjects, performances, music, locations, or other third-party content involved in your filming. You are responsible for determining whether such authorizations are necessary and for obtaining them.
Please obtain the App through official or authorized channels. Without authorization, you may not copy or distribute this App to provide alternative software services, sell or lease software licenses, remove rights notices, maliciously damage the software, or bypass legitimate access restrictions. Activities such as reverse engineering or decompiling the software must comply with applicable laws; this provision does not exclude actions expressly permitted by law.
III. Filming and Content Usage
When using this App, you must comply with applicable laws as well as the legitimate rules set by venues, event organizers, and relevant rights holders. Admission to a concert, performance, or public event does not automatically imply permission for audio/video recording, live streaming, commercial use, or public dissemination. Please respect copyright, portrait rights, privacy, and personal information rights when filming and sharing the images or voices of others.
You may not use this App to engage in surreptitious filming, infringe upon others' privacy, illegally misappropriate information, harass others, or create or disseminate illegal content. Please do not film while driving, operating dangerous equipment, or in other situations that could endanger your safety or the safety of others.
You retain rights to the content you film, to the extent permitted by law. Using this App does not mean you transfer the filmed content to us, nor does it grant us a license to use it for advertising, public display, or model training. If you voluntarily submit content to request support, we may use it only to the extent necessary to process that support request.
IV. File Storage and Permission Management
The current version primarily processes and stores filmed content locally on your device and does not provide automatic cloud storage operated by us. Depending on available features, you may export files to your system photo gallery or share them via system functions. Exporting does not automatically delete the original files within the App; copies of files in different locations must be managed separately.
Deleting files within the App, clearing app data via the system's "Delete App" function, insufficient storage, device damage, system failure, or recording interruptions may result in the loss of unbacked-up content. Please ensure that important content has been successfully exported and can be opened correctly before deleting the App or switching devices. The system's "Uninstall App" function may retain documents and data, differing from the "Delete App" function.
RAW or DNG files may contain raw footage without preview cropping; optional diagnostic files may contain raw video, audio recordings, and sensor data. Before sharing or submitting attachments, please review the actual content to avoid disclosing private information belonging to you or others.
You can adjust permissions—such as access to the camera, microphone, Bluetooth, and photo library—in your iOS system settings. Denying a specific permission may affect related functions but should not impact functions unrelated to that permission. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for details on data processing and the exercise of your rights.
V. Stabilization Effects and Usage Conditions
Super Steady V3 is designed to compensate for device movement within a certain range and improve image stability. Actual performance depends on factors such as device model, focal length and zoom level, lighting conditions, exposure time, intensity of movement, external lenses, temperature, and system load; the elimination of shake, motion blur, or image distortion cannot be guaranteed in all scenarios.
Stabilization may result in image cropping, changes to the field of view, or preview latency; certain combinations of lenses, shooting formats, and settings may be subject to hardware or system limitations. Under high temperatures or heavy loads, the App or system may reduce preview quality, restrict functionality, or pause recording; indicators such as remaining recording time are estimates. Please rely on device notifications and the actual recorded files.
Compatible gimbals and external lenses generally require separate purchase and proper installation, and must meet specific device and connectivity requirements. Bluetooth connections may be affected by distance, interference, and accessory battery levels. For important events that cannot be reshot, we recommend checking permissions, storage, battery levels, temperature, and actual recording results beforehand. The usage conditions outlined above do not absolve us of our legal obligations regarding software quality and service provision.
VI. Fees, Purchases, and Refunds
The download price, paid items, and payment terms for this App are governed by the information displayed in the official store or on the specific transaction page at the time of purchase. Purchasing this App does not automatically include the cost of separately sold hardware or third-party services; using network or third-party services may incur charges from the respective service providers.
If additional paid features or subscriptions are offered in the future, we will clearly state the price, duration, benefits, and procedures for renewal and cancellation prior to purchase, and require your active confirmation of the transaction. These terms do not in themselves constitute authorization for a subscription or for the deduction of fees. Purchases, cancellations, and refunds made via the App Store should be handled through the channels provided by Apple; if the matter falls within our scope of responsibility, you may contact us. Refunds and after-sales services are processed in accordance with applicable laws, the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase, and platform rules; these terms do not exclude your statutory rights to refunds, compensation, or other remedies.
VII. Updates and Service Adjustments
We may update this App to fix issues, improve compatibility, enhance security, or comply with legal requirements. Significant functional adjustments, the termination of support, or changes to these terms will be communicated via the App, official stores, or other formal channels easily accessible to you. In the event of changes affecting your paid benefits or significant rights and obligations, we will fulfill notification, explanation, and necessary confirmation procedures as required by law, and provide appropriate follow-up measures.
If you commit a serious violation of applicable laws or these terms, or if a service must be restricted by law, we may take appropriate measures to the extent necessary and, where permitted by law, explain the reasons and the procedure for lodging an appeal. Where the issue is rectifiable, a reasonable opportunity for rectification shall be provided. We will not unilaterally access your captured content or expand the scope of authorization for personal information processing based on updates to these terms.
VIII. Liability and Remedies
We will fulfill our obligations as a software and service provider in accordance with the law. Liability for damages caused by our breach of contract or fault shall be determined based on applicable laws, the cause of the damage, and the scope of liability. Liability that you are legally required to bear due to violations of law or infringement of third-party rights shall not be transferred to us simply because you use this App; nor shall we be exempted from liability that we are legally required to bear.
Where functionality is limited due to factors such as force majeure or system/hardware failures, liability shall be determined by both parties based on the specific cause, actual impact, and applicable laws. We will provide explanations and support regarding issues within a reasonable scope but do not guarantee successful capture, file recovery, or absolute stability beyond the product's capabilities.
These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for property damage caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, liability for personal injury as prescribed by law, and obligations regarding consumer and personal information protection under applicable laws.
IX. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If your jurisdiction has mandatory consumer or personal information protection rules that apply by law, these terms do not deprive you of the mandatory rights granted by such rules. In the event of a dispute, you may first attempt to resolve the matter by contacting us using the details provided below; if a resolution cannot be reached through negotiation, either party may seek a remedy from a competent people's court in accordance with the law. Your statutory rights regarding complaints, mediation, and other avenues for redress remain unaffected.
If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions—which are capable of independent enforcement—shall not be affected. The interpretation, supplementation, and dispute resolution regarding these terms shall be governed by applicable law.
