Steady Lens Camera Privacy Policy
Shenzhen Futu Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we") provides the Steady Lens Camera app (international name: Steady Lens; hereinafter referred to as "this App"). This policy outlines how information is processed, system permissions are utilized, data is stored, and personal information rights are exercised when you use this App.

The current version does not require account registration; tasks such as capturing images, applying "Super Steady V3" stabilization, and managing media are primarily performed on your device. This App does not automatically upload captured photos, videos, audio, or stabilization sensor data to our servers. Relevant information leaves the App's local storage only when you actively export or share files, or submit feedback to us.

Please pay special attention to the sections regarding system permissions, diagnostic files, and data deletion. Authorizations for system permissions and consent for personal information processing must each meet applicable legal requirements; the display of this policy or your continued use of this App does not imply consent to information processing unrelated to current features.

I. Scope of Application

This policy applies to the features currently provided by this App—including photography, video recording, real-time stabilization, lens selection, shooting parameter adjustment, in-app media management, and Bluetooth controller support—as well as the user support we provide. Feature availability depends on the version installed, your device, the operating system, and accessories.

Third-party websites you visit, system cloud backup services you use, or sharing platforms you utilize are governed by the respective service providers' privacy policies. This policy does not supersede the rules of those services.

II. How We Process Information

1. Captured Content and Media Information. To facilitate framing, stabilization, capture, and playback, this App processes camera feeds and—if you grant microphone permission—audio recordings locally on your device. Saved files may contain media information such as capture time, dimensions, duration, frame rate, file size, and export status. Captured content is stored within the App or exported to the system photo gallery based on your actions. We do not remotely view this content through the App, nor do we use it for advertising, identity verification, or model training.

2. Motion Sensors and Shooting Parameters. To calculate image compensation and stabilization effects, this App processes data locally—including gyroscope, accelerometer, and device orientation readings; lens and zoom status; and parameters related to exposure, ISO, and focal length. This information is used for stabilization and shooting control and is not used to infer your movements. The current version does not request location permissions, nor does it access your contacts or advertising identifiers.

3. Bluetooth controller information. When you enable the controller function, this App scans for nearby devices' Bluetooth broadcasts, device names, and system-provided device identifiers to identify and connect to compatible controllers. Once connected, it processes data regarding battery levels, as well as inputs from buttons, dials, or joysticks, to control shooting and settings. While the scan may detect broadcasts from other nearby devices, this data is used solely to identify compatible devices and establish connections; it is not used for location tracking, advertising profiling, or uploading device lists.

4. Local settings and operational status. This App locally saves preferences regarding language, lens selection, shooting parameters, preview settings, and controller operations. It also reads information such as device model, system version, temperature, system load, and available storage space to assess compatibility, adjust performance loads, and provide alerts regarding recording capacity.

5. Optional diagnostic files. If your version includes a diagnostic function that you choose to enable, this App may generate local diagnostic files containing details such as device and App versions, shooting parameters, motion sensor logs, frame rates, processing times, and error or system load statuses. Certain diagnostic modes may also retain raw or processed video footage and recorded audio. The diagnostic function is disabled by default, and files are not automatically uploaded. Before sharing any files, please verify whether the attachments contain images, audio, or other private information concerning you or others.

6. Support information you voluntarily submit. When you make inquiries, file complaints, or submit feedback via the contact methods listed in this policy, we process the contact information, communication content, and any voluntarily submitted attachments you provide in order to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle your requests. Please submit only the information necessary to resolve the issue; we will not ask for identity documents, your full photo gallery, or other sensitive information unrelated to the problem. When it is necessary to process sensitive personal information, we will separately explain the necessity and impact, and obtain the appropriate consent as required by law.

III. System Permissions and Your Choices

Camera permission: Used for framing, taking photos, and recording videos. If you deny or disable this permission, the App cannot perform new camera captures; the permission will not be used for covert recording in the background.

Microphone permission: Used for recording audio during video capture. If denied or disabled, you can still take photos and record videos without sound. The current version may request this permission when the capture function is launched; you may choose to deny it.

Motion sensor and motion/fitness permissions (as may be required by the system): Used to read device orientation and motion data for image stabilization. If access is disabled or sensors are unavailable, stabilization effects relying on this data may be limited.

Photo library addition permission: Used only when you export captured content to the system photo library. The current version requests permission to add photos and videos but does not require access to read your entire system photo library. If denied, captured files can still be saved within the App but cannot be written to the system photo library via this export method.

Bluetooth permission: Used when you enable connection to a compatible game controller. If denied or disabled, you cannot control capture via the controller, but you can still use capture functions that do not rely on the controller.

You can view or modify the App's permissions in iOS system settings, or disable the controller function within the App settings. The names of setting options may vary across different system versions. Withdrawing authorization does not affect processing activities carried out lawfully prior to the withdrawal; following withdrawal, we will cease any new processing that relies on that authorization. We will not deny access to functions unrelated to a specific permission simply because you have denied that non-essential permission.

IV. Data Storage and Deletion

Captured files and settings within the App are stored on your device and generally remain there until you delete the specific files, reset the relevant settings, or clear the App data via the system's "Delete App" operation. Temporary preview data and cache are used for current operations or performance optimization and are not used to create user profiles. Diagnostic files, if generated, may be retained within the App until you delete the specific files or delete the App.

You can delete captured files via the in-app media management interface. Exporting files does not automatically delete the original items within the app; conversely, deleting files within the app does not automatically remove copies stored in the system photo library, shared files, cloud backups, or independently saved diagnostic copies. Please manage these copies separately. Note that the system function "Offload App" may retain documents and data, differing from "Delete App."

If you enable iCloud or other system backup services, the backup status, storage location, and deletion methods for app data are determined by your system settings and the rules of the respective services. We do not proactively transmit the aforementioned local content to overseas recipients through this app. Should we need to transfer personal information overseas in the future, we will fulfill notification obligations, obtain appropriate consent, and meet applicable requirements for cross-border data transfer in accordance with the law.

Customer service or complaint records submitted to us are retained only for the minimum period necessary to provide a response, resolve the issue, and settle any disputes. Once the purpose has been fulfilled and there is no further legal obligation or necessity to retain the data, we will delete or anonymize it. If continued retention is required by law, we will restrict the usage of and access to such data.

V. Provision of Information to Third Parties and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information, nor do we provide advertisers with your captured content or behavioral data through this app. The current version utilizes system frameworks provided by Apple—such as the camera, photo library, motion sensors, and Bluetooth—to perform local functions; it does not integrate third-party SDKs for advertising, behavioral analysis, or cloud-based content recognition.

When you actively use system export or sharing functions, the recipient will obtain the selected files and their associated information. Please review the actual content before sharing RAW or DNG files, as original files may retain image areas that were not included in the preview crop. When you access the Fotorgear website via links such as "Learn More," your browser will connect to that site, which may process network information generated during your visit; please consult that site's privacy policy.

Except for actions initiated by you, if we need to engage service providers to process information, we will limit the processing purpose, duration, scope of information, and security requirements. If we provide information to other independent data controllers, we will notify you of the recipient and the processing details as required by law and obtain separate consent where legally necessary. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or other transaction resulting in a change of the entity processing the information, we will inform the recipient and require them to continue adhering to this policy; if the purpose or method of processing changes, we will obtain renewed consent as required by law.

When disclosure is required by law or by a competent authority acting in accordance with the law, we will verify the request and limit the scope of disclosure to what is strictly necessary.

VI. Information Security

This App employs mechanisms such as iOS application sandboxing and system file protection to safeguard local data. Regarding information we actually receive (e.g., for user support), we implement access controls and security measures commensurate with the risks involved to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

Please manage your device unlock credentials, system accounts, and backup settings carefully. No technical measure can guarantee absolute security; in the event of an actual or potential personal information security incident, we will take remedial actions and fulfill our notification obligations to competent authorities and affected individuals as required by law.

VII. Your Rights Regarding Personal Information

You have the right to access, copy, correct, supplement, or delete your personal information, withdraw consent previously granted, restrict or object to non-essential processing, and request an explanation of our processing rules. Under conditions prescribed by law, you may also request the transfer of your personal information.

For content captured locally, you may exercise your rights via in-app media management, export, and deletion functions; system permissions can be adjusted through iOS settings. As the current version does not require account registration, there is no need for account cancellation. We are unable to remotely delete copies of data stored on your device or on other platforms.

For information you have submitted to us, please submit requests using the contact details listed in this policy. We will verify only the information necessary to confirm the requester's identity and ensure information security, and we will process and respond to requests in a timely manner. If a request cannot be fulfilled under the law, we will explain the reasons and available avenues for appeal. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant personal information protection authority or seek judicial relief in accordance with the law.

VIII. Protection of Minors

This App is not specifically designed for children under the age of fourteen. Minors should use the App under the guidance of a guardian; children under the age of fourteen must obtain prior consent from a guardian. We do not proactively request children to submit personal information to us. If user support scenarios require us to collect and process the personal information of children under the age of fourteen, we will separately notify the guardians, obtain their consent in accordance with the law, and provide applicable specific processing rules and protective measures. If we discover that we have collected children's information without the required guardian consent, we will cease the relevant processing and delete the information as required by law. Guardians may submit inquiries or deletion requests via the contact details listed in this policy.

IX. Policy Updates

We may update this policy in response to changes in features or legal requirements, and we will provide the updated content and date within the App or through other official channels that are easily accessible to you. We will provide prominent notice of significant changes regarding the purpose, method, or type of information processing, or regarding personal rights; where renewed or separate consent is required, we will obtain it before commencing the relevant processing. Such updates will not diminish the rights you enjoy under applicable laws.
